QUIRKY ALTERNATIVE TO A TRACKER.
2019, Festivals
I am here is a wearable apparatus made entirely of balloons. Acting as a backpack, the apparatus holds a balloon filled with helium that rises into the sky, working as a locater when released. Catered to festivals, the I am here apparatus provides a unique alternative to walkie talkies or messages. It overcomes the barrier that phones face when there is no reception, as the backpack can be used at any time and does not require a mobile connection.
Working on “I am here” resulted in a greater understanding of the temporary through fragile materials.  Using something like a balloon as the primary material allowed for exploration into various shapes and forms rather than the inorganic.
